That's impressive as hell, yet I do believe that Eddies lift still was way more impressive. He's about 15-20cm smaller and weighed about 20kg less when he lifted the 500kg, that makes one hell of a difference. I'm DEFINITELY not trying to say Hafthor isnt strong but I think to even out with Eddies Lift he has to pull at least 510kg.
And well maybe next time he can do it somewhere else again where it's less shady even if everything was streamed live ^^

Also this guy held it for like 1 second, Eddie held it for a good 5 seconds whilst blood was dripping out of his face.
It's not even a question which is more impressive.

@Kurty Boy You're misunderstanding something. On the day he got 4 lifts. The first one was 420kg, second one 465kg and the third one 501kg. He elected to skip the last one having already set the all time world record. The reason it looked easy is because in my opinion on that particular day, after peaking through a grueling training period, Hafthor was the strongest deadlifter, possibly overall strongest human being, to ever live. Zydrunas Savickas is the best strongman of all time hands down, but he was never as strong as Hafthor was on that day.

Certainly you can build up the musculoskeletal system and even the heart muscle to keep the tissues perfused while the lift occurs.
Know what you can't strengthen? The tiniest capillaries and the multitude of A-V malformations that everyone has and are scattered randomly. Of course, the brain is worrisome, and the eyeballs, the pituitary, the spinal cord and adrenals can be explosively damaged by a rupture of a blood vessel, with permanent damage. They might just form an aneurysm for a spontaneous rupture some time in the future.
I am glad a vertebral disc didn't suddenly slip or rupture. Or his sorta didn't tear.
    Well, good for him!
